Carolina Health Centers is comprised of several medical sites that provide primary care for insured, under-insured, and uninsured patients. For those who qualify, we have an income-based sliding fee scale, so receiving healthcare is never a financial burden.

Carolina Health Centers, Inc. is a community-based non-profit, primary healthcare organization dedicated to building healthy communities and improving the health, well-being, and quality of life of each person we serve.

Our organization's vision is to help create and sustain healthy communities in which everyone has access to a comprehensive, patient-centered, medical home where affordable, high-quality, primary healthcare is provided with dignity, respect, and compassion.
History
CHC (formerly MEGALS Rural Health Association) was formed by a group of interested citizens and became chartered in South Carolina in June of 1977. Over the years the corporation has grown to its current size and is now providing services in thirteen locations throughout the service area.
CHC has a staff of over twenty healthcare providers which includes family practice physicians, pediatricians, and nurse practitioners. Support staff to assist these providers at each CHC location.
CHC locations accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurances. Our centers offer an income-based, sliding fee discount program for eligible patients.
Carolina Health Centers participates in the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) program and is a Deemed facility. This process requires yearly review and update by the U.S. Federal Government, and holds our organization to a higher quality standard.
